Love & Loved in Italy

loved in italy

You know what’s great about Italy? The food. The wine. The culture. And the people. To feel loved in Italy, the Italians do many different things

Love is one of the most beautiful words in the world, and when you’re speaking to someone who speaks a different native tongue, it can feel like a struggle to find the right way to say it in their language. But it doesn’t have to be!

Loved in Italy is Amore

The Italian language is rich in vocabulary, and one of the most common words you’ll hear is “amore.” The word means love, but it’s so much more than that!

“Amore” is a feeling. It’s the kind of love that makes you want to climb a mountain, write poetry, and get married (and then do all three again). You might have all kinds of different types of amore: from your parents and friends to your significant other to your favorite movie characters.

Saying Love in Italian

Italian is a beautiful, romantic language, and it’s also one of the most important languages in the world. If you’re planning on visiting Italy, or if you’ve already been there and want to learn more about the language, we’ve got you covered.

Did you know that the natives of Italy have a special way of saying “I love you” in their native language? It’s not as simple as “te amo,” which is Spanish for “I love you.” In Italian, it’s a little more complicated:

Ti voglio bene— This literally means “I want well for you.” It’s a great way to say “I love you.”

Ti amo— This is an informal way of saying “I love you.” You could use this with friends and family members, but it would be considered very intimate when used with someone who isn’t your partner.

* Io ti amo (I love you)

* Ti amo (I love you)

* T’amo (I love you)

Voglio sposarvi— This means “I want to marry you,” which is a pretty bold statement! Obviously not everyone will be able to say this casually in conversation, but it’s definitely worth knowing if you’re interested in learning more about Italian romance!

Expressing Love in Italy

In Italy, there are several ways to express your love for your partner:

-Love is expressed through the food you prepare for them. Italians love to cook and eat. You can tell someone how much you care about them by preparing a meal for them.

-Italians also believe that showing affection with words is important as well as showing it with actions. For example, if you want to tell someone “I love you” then say “Ti amo” instead of “I love him/her” because it shows more commitment than just saying “I love him/her”

Loved in Italy through Kissing & Affection

Showing affection in public is very common in Italy. If you want to show your affection for someone, hold hands while walking together or embrace each other in public.

Kissing is the number one way that Italians show affection. They kiss everyone: friends, relatives, children, grandparents…you name it! The only people who don’t get kissed are strangers and enemies—and even then, sometimes they get kissed too! Kissing is also used as a greeting and parting gesture between friends and family members.
